What is a blog used for?
A blog is a website designed and created by an individual used for writing. Blogs' main feature is to publish online and express writers' ideas, opinions, thoughts, or passions. They aim to invite readers to provide feedback mainly as comments about the post. Blogs are primarily texts, but they can also include videos, images, charts, graphs, music, etc. Blogs are very useful today because anyone can express their thoughts especially teachers so that students can read and think critically; moreover, because it is a website, it allows the writer to reach an extensive and unlimited audience.
Advantages of using Blogging with students in teaching languages teaching:
- Blogs help students to develop critical thinking skills since the process of writing down your thoughts helps to straighten out your thinking and basically help you work out what you think because you must follow a logical set of facts, ideas, and thought for the audience to understand your points easily.
- Blogging allows learners to be creative because it gives them the opportunity of accessing a great variety of topics. Moreover, blogging lets students express themselves visually through custom themes, headings, photography, layouts, and designs.
- Blogging can help flatten the classroom walls and offer priceless experiences not only for students but also for teachers (these are not your words. Must be cited) because it provides students with a wider world and their thoughts can
get toreach any personallaround the world what encourages them to hone the craft of writing.
I think that using Blogger is a very useful tool because students now are accustomed to using technology, so providing them with such an innovative tool helps them to think better and process their thoughts as well as use their creativity. In this way, not only are they using technology, they are algo learning through technology.

ReplyDeleteIn academic issues blogging can be very important for students because they can share their own point of view and put into practice their creativity by expressing their thoughts. I personally think that using blogs can be very useful for them, for these kinds of websites let them express themselves about any situation they like or they do not.
